Music app TIDAL describes Lemonadeas "every woman's journey to self-awareness and recovery." The song titles on the album are "Intuition", "Denial", "Anger", "Apathy" (numbness), "Forgiveness", "Hope", "Redemption" (purification) about Beyonce's emotional journey.
The short film, released with the album, features some of Beyonce and Jay-Z's most special moments. However, the lyrics on the album support the view that Jay-Z, who has been alleged for years, cheated on Beyonce. Internet users are going after this mysterious woman. It's not yet clear what Beyonce expects from the Jay-Z collaboration. Beyonce, however, ends the album with songs like 'Forgiveness' and 'Hope'.
Lemonadefollows a story that begins with infidelity and ends with compromise. Beyonce first questions her relationship, and at the end of the album, she says, "We're going to get better, we're going to start over."
The short film, which airs on HBO, features serena williams, zendaya, quvenzhané wallis, halle bailey, amandla stenberg.
Beyonce worked with The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, James Blake and Diplo on the album.
Beyonce's yellow Roberto Cavalli couture dress expresses her anger in the film, sometimes drawing attention to her glamorous accessories, sometimes in an innocent white dress or Victorian-reminiscent outfit. Some of the brands Beyonce wore in the film were Gig Couture, Nicolas Jebran, Yousef Al Jasmi and Gucci.
So why is the album called Lemonade? "Freedom" is accompanied by images from Jay-Z's grandmother Hattie's 90th birthday party. Hattie says: "I've had good days and bad days in my life. But I've always found the strength to pull myself together. They gave me lemons. I made lemonade."
