Versace chief designer Donatella Versace has officially announced that her brand will stop using fur in order to be more sensitive to nature and animal rights.
Versace aims to adopt the policy of being a more sustainable brand that respects nature and will now make the materials used in the design process more environmentally friendly. Thus, from 2019, the fur will be completely removed from the Versace collections.
In a recent interview, Donatella Versace said, "Fur? I don't want to kill animals to design anymore."
Gucci, Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo also recently announced they would remove fur from their collections.
