Recipe for fruit compote with balsamic

* 5 cups unripe strawberries and blueberries
* 1/4 cup sugar⠀
* 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
* 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar⠀


  • Fill a saucepan with 3-4 fingers of water and bring to the boil. ⠀
  • Fill the fruits in a strainer and place them over the pan and steam very little. ⠀
  • Take six into a thick pan and pour sugar over it. ⠀
  • Saute over high heat until the sugar dissolves and the fruits are tender. ⠀
  • Put the fruits in a large jar; add the balsamic and cinnamon on top. Close the lid. ⠀
  • Gently shake the jar for 30 seconds so that it does not damage the fruits. ⠀
  • Refrigerate 2 hours. ⠀
  • Serve with cookies.
