Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul Day 5

Inspired by the powerful women of the 20th century, Gülçin Çengel created his collections by following the example of women and their stories who broke the social pressures of their period and moved beyond the lines created by society. While representing the women who broke every outward curve shell in the designs, human rights activist Rosa Parks, valentina Tereshkova, the first woman to go into space, Gertrude Ederle, who holds the title of the first woman to swim the UK channel, "Women's Suffrage", organized for women's rights and women's voting, and powerful women such as Komako Kimura, Indira Gandhi and Eva Peron were illuminating on Gulçin Çengel's collection path. Colors such as lilac, purple, fuchsia, tile and burgundy accompany the collection, mainly in reference to the black, white, navy and feminine posture called genderless colors.

Sudi Etuz, who presented her new collection with a VR presentation as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, features green and earth tones that create a comfort and stagnation effect in her designs this season. This theme, which forms the basis of their previous collections, does not leave the point of positive, instilling happiness in people and combines the theme of freedom by returning to nature's purity and attractiveness from the simplest matter without the slightest effort. The VR presentation, filmed on Pink Cliff in Kocaeli and giving the viewer the experience of being there with a 360-degree field of view, is also one of the places that inspired this collection. Designer Şans Adalı says that inspired by the copper color reflected from the rocks as the sun sets, she adds this color to the green and earthy tones that create a comfort and stillness effect in her designs.
