Madame Tussauds opens its doors in Istanbul

Madame Tussauds Istanbul will start welcoming visitors as of November 28th. The center, which is prepared to offer a fun, interactive entertainment in an area of 2,000 square meters on the first 2 floors of the Grand Pera project on Istiklal Street, consists of history, science, cinema, music, sports and party sections. In each episode, the stars involved are displayed in front of special backgrounds suitable for their characters.

Figures of 55 famous names from Turkey and around the world will be featured in the museum, which will feature figures from Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, Mevlana, Barış Manço, Adile Nashit, Kanuni Sultan Suleyman, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Mimar Sinan, Sabiha Gokcen and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, as well as figures of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Audrey Hepburn, Beyonce, Rihanna, David Beckham, Messi, Marilyn Monroe and Muhammad Ali.

Some celebrities donated their original clothes and accessories for the museum. For others, the fashion office at London Studios ensured that all clothes and accessories suitable for the date and period in which the figure was depicted were specially produced. For example, the outfit used in Zeki Müren's figure was reproduced in London in accordance with the original provided by TEV, while Arda Turan and Hidayet Türkoglu donated their original jerseys, beren Saat, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Kerem Bursin donated their own clothes.
