The Global Change Award, created to protect the planet and complete the cycle in fashion by supporting new eco-friendly, transforming ideas, held its first innovation day event at The Collective House on April 26th. Dilnişin Bayel and Sertaç Yerlikaya were the moderators, Erik Bang, Anna Töndevol, Enrica Arena and Tjeerd Veenhoven were the speakers at the event, which was organized in collaboration with H&M Foundation and Accenture Turkey.
H&M Foundation Innovation Manager Erik Bang, who started his keynote speech with the words "In order to change things, we must first approach the issues from a different perspective", made an open call to Turkish entrepreneurs. Erik Bang announced that they expect more applications from Turkey for the Global Change Award, which will be the fourth this year, and announced that they will start receiving applications at the end of August.
The eco-friendly Global Change Award seeks to overcome the biggest challenges facing the industry today: being able to protect the environment while producing to an ever-growing population. The H&M Foundation, a nonprofit organization, launched this competition to speed up this process.
