Virgil Abloh, who was recently appointed creative director of men's collections at Louis Vuitton, unveiled his collection for Ikea. Describing the design process and inspiration, Abloh sums up his collection with the words, "I wanted to add an artist's touch to what you have."
When we look at the collection that came out of cooperation with Ikea, the pieces that we all have in our homes stand out in their form. But of course, with one difference, it's the combination of Abloh's distinctive style with these objects. An Iranian carpet with "Keep Off" written on it meets the classic Ikea bag with "Sculpture" written on it.
The aesthetic look that Abloh brought to the top from Off-White designs was reflected in ikea designs. The sales schedule for the collection, which is still under construction, has not been announced.
