Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander stars as Lara Croft after Angelina Jolie 15 years later. Based on the action-packed video game Tomb Raider, the famous actor embarked on a strict regimen and sports program.
Seven months before the shoot, Vikander began training his body with simple exercises such as sit-ups, push-ups and jogging with his own body weight. Four months before the shoot, Vikander and sports coach Magnus Lygdbäck continued their gruelling exercise routine, covering 7 days a week, from running to climbing, archery to cross-fit.
Aiming to increase the muscle ratio in his body, he also made sure to start a special diet for this. Vikander, who increased his muscle mass by almost 5 kilos, was fed a protein-heavy diet for this. The player consumed 4 eggs for breakfast and also consumed carbohydrates alongside protein as the main course for dinner.
The actress also made sure to point out that her body quickly returned to its former self as she stopped exercising after filming ended.
