Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla companies, has announced that human experiments with the Neuralink chip, which will be inserted into the brain, could begin later this year. In a statement on Twitter, Musk said: "Neuralink is working very hard to ensure implant safety and they are in close contact with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. If things go well, we can start the first human experiments towards the end of this year," he said.
Elon Musk's lover, musician Grimes, and US rapper Lil Uzi Vert also shared "Neuralink" via twitter. Confirming Grimes ' message, "Let's get a brain chip installed," Lil Uzi Vert said, " I'm ready, when do we do it?"he responded.
Neuralink is aimed at facilitating the lives of patients such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Elon Musk had previously announced that the brain implant could have an effect on a variety of neurological problems and spinal injuries, including memory loss, depression and impaired vision. Elon Musk had recently claimed that a monkey involved in a chip experiment was playing a computer game with only thought.
