For Maria Grazia Chiuri, presenting the autumn 2021 collection at The Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai is a great opportunity to celebrate Maison's creativity and the power of world cultures, combining her designs with a dynamic visual force and new energy. The collection, in which acidic tones flirt with see-through textures and bright silvery reflections, celebrates pop aesthetics. Giant sequins, reminiscent of disc-shaped mirrors, evoke disco balls that were also featured on the set of the fashion show; the four new dresses it embroidered provide sparkle. The leopard pattern, which is an invitation to freedom, decked out the entire catwalk, as well as the iconic Bar Jacket. Special pieces, each designed in different neon tones, including Red, which Monsieur Dior describes as “the color of life,” enrich the collection, presented with a musical composition** by Giorgio Moroder. As a final surprise, artist Joey Yung and Chinese rock band Black Panther are adding color to the fashion show with live performances.
