Chanel Spring-Summer 2017

"Technicolor" was the concept of the fashion show, which brought the futuristic entertainment and digital age together with chanel's iconic patterns. Welcoming its guests on the set of a giant data center (#datacenterchanel) decorated with cables and servers, the brand's chosen venue for the fashion show was the Grand Palais in central Paris. Innovation that meets Chanel's classic line is at the forefront of the collection, which is based on pattern and technology concepts. Last season's nostalgic, broad-shouldered ensembles are being replaced by colorful tweed teams for the spring season.

Capturing the harmony with the technological age in chanel style, designer Lagerfeld opened with Chanel robots that marked the fashion show. Models wearing white square patterned skirt-jacket combos over classic black were among the highlights, wearing a white polished robot headpiece.

Karl Lagerfeld's new Chanel was inspired by young people. The collection consists of neon stripes, colorful Chanel jackets with a blazer look worn on top of silky dresses, huge earrings worn on one ear, accessories selected in the exaggerated but modern line, and side-mounted 'cap' style hats. Among the guests at the fashion show, one of Chanel's steps towards a younger audience, was Lily-Rose Depp, 17, the advertising face of the new No.5 perfume.

Famous guests, including Anna Wintour, Sama-Haya Khadra, Anna Dello Russo, Carla Bruni and Usher, included Tugba Sunguroglu, one of the actors from the Mustang film, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Film.
