Where are zirconium teeth used?
It can be used for aesthetic purposes, in advanced colorations that cannot be achieved with methods such as whitening, in the treatment of hereditary structure colorizations, in discrete or under-tangent, facing teeth where orthodontic treatment is not preferred, in restorations of old filled, excessively damaged teeth with impaired color and structure, as bridges or coatings on the back group teeth, in front group implant prostheses and in regulating smile aesthetics. Depending on the aesthetic expectation of the person, the usage area may expand. Since it offers a natural aesthetic appearance, its usage area increases compared to previous years.
What is the difference between zirconium teeth aesthetically?
Thanks to its light permeability feature, the image of natural teeth is fully captured. The enamel of healthy teeth completely passes light, but metals, the infrastructures of classical porcelain coatings, create an opaque appearance on the teeth, which makes the teeth look lifeless and artificial. This is prevented by zirconium. Natural effects on the color transitions of real teeth can be studied in zirconium coatings with layers in porcelain.
How do zirconium teeth match your gums?
Mortuous coloration never occurs in the gums in the neck area of the tooth seen in metal-assisted prostheses. Since the tissue is a compatible material, it does not cause gum extraction. If gums are pulled for reasons such as improper brushing or gum disease, it does not create an aesthetically bad image.
How are zirconium coatings applied?
Before starting the process, it is agreed on what the person expects aesthetically. Then, as with metal-assisted coatings, the tooth is reduced somewhat and a precise measurement is taken with special silicone measurement materials when the gums become healthy. With the technology developing in recent times, these measurements are digital and more successful aesthetic works are emerging. In the same session, temporary teeth are prepared and the form of these teeth is formed in the most appropriate way to the shape we wish to have at the end. Zirconium infrastructure and porcelain superstructure in the appropriate color of the tooth are processed in the laboratory environment and adapted to the tooth in a clinical environment. Finally, it is permanently adapted to the tooth with special adhesives. Now you can easily use it without distinguishing it from your own teeth.
Do I have any aesthetic problems during treatment?
Temporary teeth, especially on the front teeth, will be similar in shape to your permanent zirconium coatings. These coatings, made of acrylic as a material, are strength-resistant but will satisfy you sufficiently in color harmony and shape.
Is it common for breakage or zirconium coating to fall?
Fracture cracking can be seen in an inverse and excessive force, but this is almost identical to the probability of breaking the sturdy tooth. It can be largely repaired in a clinical setting. If the tooth under the coating begins to decay over time and there is a loss of substance, it may fall. In such cases, the tooth is treated if possible, and the coating is glued again.
How long can zirconium coatings be available?
You can use it for many years when regular checks are carried out. There can be no clear time because the teeth are living tissues and shape changes are observed over time due to abrasions and stimts. Zirconium coatings are unchanged. It may be desirable to renew this form to adapt to the changed mouth.
