5 evidence that we need the sun

1. Happiness butterfly

Sunlight increases the release of hormones identified with happiness, such as serotonin and endorphins.

2. Deeper Sleep

Exposure to sunlight during the day will also make an effective contribution to the production of melatonin, which helps you sleep.  When your body stores enough sunlight during the day, it will perceive it as evening faster. One way to increase this effect is to wait at least a few minutes before putting on your sunglasses. Serotonin production begins when sunlight hits the retina.

3. Lower Blood Pressure

As soon as sunlight touches your skin, a component called nitric oxide is released into the blood vessels. This process lowers blood pressure and therefore reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.

4. Stronger bones

The recommended amount of vitamin D also keeps your bones healthy. It plays an important role especially for bones that lose their strength during menopause.

5. Potential weight loss

Sunbathe and lose weight. I'm afraid it's not that easy. But there are several links between weight loss and sunlight. According to a study, the higher your vitamin D content during diet, the more successful it is to lose weight, or even get rid of fat in your belly area. Another study found that adult women who did not take enough vitamin D were overweight compared to those who took vitamin D.

How to Get the Solar Light You Need Safely

Despite the benefits of sunlight, there are still legitimate concerns about excessive sun exposure, including early wrinkles and the risk of skin cancer. The trick is to get the amount needed without increasing the risk.

In general, aim to expose skin that has not been applied sunscreen to the sun every day for 10-20 minutes. Experts say it is much more beneficial to buy small amounts of sun every day than a long sunscreen that can cause sunburn in a day. Aim for the sun to come to your arm, shoulder or legs instead of the face and neck, which are places where they are more likely to wrinkle.

If you are gradually increasing your rate of sunlight, be aware of the negative effects caused by the sun. Take a look at your spots and moles, see if there are any changes that seem important.
